The year was 1973 and two friends were building a pair of ’34 Ford 3 window coupes. The cars were finished in 1974 and made the cover of Rod & Custom magazine. What was to follow made Hot Rod history.

The two cars “The California Kid” and “Jake’s Coupe” have totaled up almost 250,000 hot rod miles through the years. Being test cars for our product line, these two reside on our show room floor for visitors to see.

From this friendship was born Pete and Jake’s Hot Rod Repair, which later became Hot Rod Parts. Opening its doors in 1974 Pete and Jake’s has continued its long-standing reputation for building quality suspension components for hot rods. The products are known for their strength as well as longevity. The business is known for its quality service and technical assistance.

Becoming a corner stone of the industry took time and dedication, continuing the tradition takes innovation and resilience. Pete and Jake’s front ends and rear end assemblies have been a standard in the traditional hot rod chassis.

With the marriage of Super Bell Axle Co., in 2004, we now can offer to our customers a full range of high quality components for 1928-1948 Ford cars and trucks, including front to rear suspension parts.
