Cool 1955 Chevy Nomad using our tried and true #5049 Gasser Front End. Michael swears by it.

Nice 1940 Coupe using our front suspension.

John’s coupe uses our Front I-Beam axle and spindles with our disc brakes. He’s running a 350 SB w/327 valve covers and three deuces. This is backed by a 350 GM transmission going to a 8″ Ford rearend with 3:25 gears. Down’s 5 window glass body.

When you talk about old school rodding you have to talk about Gasser Front ends. They’ve been around since forever and they give a rod that special look you may be looking for as well as being functional on the drag strip.

Here’s what Michael Young Pro Builder and owner of Street Rods by Michael in Shelbyville, TN has this to say about our Gasser Front End kit:
“I have been building street rods for 30 years. I have built 4 NSRA Giveaway Cars. I have had experience building street rods. The first time I got to use Pete & Jakes gasser front ends was in 2000, when we built a ’41 Willys for Sherman & Williams, and right then I knew that was the way to go. Especially with the flexibility to be able to get tube axles. I’ve used straight, dropped, short and wide axles. That is what I like about this kit. Pete & Jakes also has a wide variety of brake options. As you can see by the pictures I’ve installed them in several different kind of vehicles, and they all were very easy to install. Best of all Pete & Jakes service. The folks at Pete & Jakes are bar none the best I’ve dealt with.”

Thanks Michael for the kind words and for using our Gasser Front End kit. Give Jason or Jerry a call and let them set you up with a kit of your own.

Even before they met and started Pete and Jake’s they were individually working on taking hot rodding back to the basics and to the next level. Both men understood how hot rodding started and wanted to get back to that look and feel of early rodding. Yet they wanted to make it safe and easier by creating off the shelf parts that anybody could use and providing the instructions and technical help when needed. Continue reading “Back to the Basics”
